How Verbose Resume stores your data, what we use it for, and the rules for using the service.

Verbose Resume helps you keep one detailed career record, tailor resumes for specific roles, and track applications. This policy explains what we collect, how we store it, and how we use it.

We do not sell your contact information. We will not give recruiters, employers, or other third parties your email, phone number, or other direct contact details from your account so they can cold-contact you, unless you choose to share that information yourself (for example by applying, publishing a public profile, or opening a share link).
Verbose Resume may store your verbose resume and job applications so you can tailor materials and track progress. We may later use the skills, experience, location preferences, and role signals in content you save to:
In that model, your resume content may be used as an internal matching signal and as context for recommendations shown in your account. Aggregate or anonymized insights (such as “how many members have Kubernetes experience”) may be used to plan which roles to feature. Identifiable contact channels stay with you unless you act on a recommendation.
We keep account data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. You may delete or overwrite saved resumes and applications in the product. To permanently delete your account, use Request account deletion on your profile. We email you confirming the request, and unless you cancel from that same page, we permanently delete your account and associated data about 24 hours later. Limited records may be retained where required for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance. Questions: legal@verboseresume.com.
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers on the product for third-party ad networks.
The service is aimed at working adults seeking employment. It is not directed at children under 16.
We may update this page as the product evolves (especially job matching). Material changes will include a new effective date on this page. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.

By accessing or using Verbose Resume (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Verbose Resume provides tools to store a detailed career record, generate tailored resumes, track job applications, and related features we make available at https://verboseresume.com. Features may change, expand, or be discontinued over time — including optional job or recruiter recommendations as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verbose Resume and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or career opportunity, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service operators from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimer, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction require otherwise. Courts in North Carolina will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to those same mandatory protections.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
